Özge Akman

Massage Therapist, Yoga Teacher

Özge Akman completed her foundational massage training at Cortiva Muscular Therapy Institute – Boston in 2012. Özge’s therapeutic practice focuses on addressing the soft tissue components of chronic pain syndromes and repetitive strain injuries, using a combination of techniques such as Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy and Scar Tissue Release. Her aim is to facilitate a pain-free existence for her clients by balancing their soft tissues leading to more fluid movements.

She is willing to offer comprehensive self-care plans to each of her clients. As a Registered Yoga Teacher, Özge believes that movement therapy is a crucial component to every person’s health and by looking at a client’s sport and lifestyle, she can design a specific set of routines that would correct their imbalances and reduce the pain by stripping yoga back to essentials, keeping equipment to a minimum, focusing on detailed instruction and making it accessible to beginners.

Özge has completed an Orthopedic Massage Therapy certification program, and is a professional member of American Massage Therapy Association & Yoga Alliance.
