Deep Tissue/Problem-Specific Massage

Deep Tissue MassageMassage work which focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue to dissolve adhesions, free impingements, reduce scar tissue and restore normal function and tone. Techniques are used to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia.

This type of work is ideal for athletes in training or recovering from an event.  Deep tissue massage is also excellent after injuries, overuse and for those who work long hours in the same position.

Deep tissue massage can be very effective in addressing sciatica; TMJ; carpal tunnel syndrome; knee pain; back, neck and shoulder pain and other conditions that cause pain and interfere with normal function and quality of life.

With deep tissue massage you will enjoy improved posture and more fluid movement…and it feels great, too!

Depending on your therapist’s training, multiple modalities and techniques may be included in a deep tissue massage at Well Within.  A session may include:

Myofascial Release
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)
Muscular Therapy
Thermotherapy/Cryotherapy (the use of heat/cold applications)
